01The short version

The rest of this page explains that in more detail, and covers the two things that do happen automatically in the background: our web host handles your request, and the page’s typefaces are loaded from Google.

02What we collect

Through the quote form

The form asks for your name, phone number, town, what you need, and a description of the work. An email address is optional. Those fields are assembled into a message inside your own browser. Pressing “Send by email” or “Text it instead” opens your mail or messaging app with that message ready to go. If you close it without sending, we never see anything.

When you do send it, we receive the message the same way we’d receive any email or text from you — in an ordinary inbox and on an ordinary phone.

When you call or text us directly

We get your phone number and whatever you tell us, which is how phones work.

What we don’t collect

• We don’t ask for, and have no way to take, payment details through this website.
• We don’t build a profile of you, or track which pages you looked at.
• We don’t buy contact lists or add you to a mailing list.
• We don’t sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. Not ever.

03What happens automatically

Our web host

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, their servers process your request in order to send you the page, and keep operational and security records that can include your IP address, the type of browser you’re using, and the time of the visit. We don’t combine that with anything else, and we don’t use it to identify individual visitors.

Typefaces

The fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser makes a request to Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and browser type. Google Fonts does not set cookies. This is the only third party the page contacts.

04How we use what you send

To answer you, quote your job, schedule it, and do the work. That’s the whole list. We may keep your details in order to follow up on an estimate, invoice you, or get back in touch about work we’ve done for you before.

05Who else sees it

Nobody, apart from the ordinary services that carry a message from you to us — your email provider, our email provider, the phone networks. We don’t share, sell or disclose your information to marketers, lead brokers, or anyone else.

The two exceptions are the ones every business has: if we’re legally required to produce something, and if we need to hand your details to a subcontractor or supplier to actually complete work you’ve hired us for — a materials delivery to your address, for instance.

06How long we keep it

Quote requests and job records are kept as long as they’re useful for the business and for tax and warranty purposes. If you asked for a quote and didn’t hire us, tell us and we’ll delete it.

07Your choices

• Ask what we have. Call or email and we’ll tell you.
• Ask us to correct it. Same.
• Ask us to delete it. We’ll do it, unless we’re required to keep a record for tax or legal reasons.
• Tell us to stop contacting you. Say so once and we will.

There’s no form for any of this and no waiting period — it’s a phone call.

08Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. This site doesn’t track visitors whether or not that signal is set, so there is nothing for it to turn off. We also don’t allow any third party to collect personally identifiable information about your browsing across other websites through this site.

09Children

This site is for homeowners arranging landscaping and drainage work. It isn’t directed at children and we don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we’ll delete it.

10Changes to this policy

If the site ever starts doing something this page doesn’t describe — adding analytics, an advertising pixel, or a form that submits to a server — this page gets updated first and the date at the top changes.
